VICTORY!!!!!!!

The prayers have been answered!!!!!! TEXAS A&M WON 12 - 7!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :oD

"Stephen McGee scored on an 8-yard run with 2 1/2 minutes to play and the Aggies stunned No. 11 Texas 12-7 behind a power running game and tough defense Friday to snap a six-game losing streak in the bitter rivalry." says Yahoo! Sports

We sawed them horns off!!! ;o) (It's the Texas Longhorns, for those that don't know.)

Psalm 75:10a "And all the horns of the wicked He will cut off..." :o)

Farmers Fight!

Join me in praying for VICTORY for Texas A&M University's annual game against their rival school University of Texas (BOOOOOOOO), tomorrow! :o) Sadly, A&M hasn't won for many years, and tomorrow's game is held in Austin, so we're pretty much sure to lose...but, it doesn't hurt to cheer your team on, even from miles away!
GIG 'EM, AGGIES!!! WHOOP! FIGHT, MAROON AND WHITE!

Brilliant!

This is Fred Astaire doing a wonderful solo routine to "Puttin' on the Ritz." He is the best dancer of all time! (This video works, although it's blank, like the other video.)

Hunh?

I overheard a young man (12 or 13) in Oxford say to his chum "it's gluck." His friend wasn't sure what that meant and the first guy explained "'gluck' is 'good luck,' 'bluck' is 'bad luck!'" :o) So, there ya have it! New British vocabulary!!!

A Beautiful Song

Although I'm a big fan of the original of this song "Hey Ya," by Outkast, this remake is even better! Enjoy!

The Mother Land

I'M BACK IN ENGLAND!!!!!!!! I just adore this country! These last few days here have been wonderful. I've written a whole chapter and revised part of a different chapter in my book already, so that has, and will continue to be, my main focus for the duration of my stay. Mom and I are having a great time together working, talking, etc.

Today we went on a two-hour hike up a lovely hill close to The Kilns (C. S. Lewis's home, where Mom works and lives and where I am now.) Here are a few pics from our walk.

It's hard to tell in this sized photo, but through this fence/hedge there is a huge green hedge across the grass with a path between. It was a very pretty place!

I had to turn the camera at an angle...it just added something to this forest. Well, that's what I thought at least!

This was just another gorgeous scene. The air was crisp, but pleasant.

For those of you (like me) who enjoy the newest Pride and Prejudice, this reminded me so much of that film! :o) It's a bummer that I didn't find Mr. Darcy waiting there!
